About us ...
Dance Parties - When possible, a warm-up/icebreaker Modern Jive Dance lesson 7.40 to 8.30. No parter required. Come along to meet and make friends…its fun, good exercise, very popular, easy to learn, can be close and as stylish as you and your partner desire. It's a style of dance that's easy to learn by all ages.
Lessons - The beginners class is a basic introduction to the art of popular partner style dancing. In the beginners class you will learn 'basic essential elements' of popular moves which will have you dancing with friends in no time at all. After completing the basic, you are ready to progress to the Intermediate lesson which adds more moves to your ever growing repertoire.
We rotate partners throughout the lesson. (If you wish to stay with your own partner, that's fine). Rotation is a common method that's used. It also serves as an opportunity to meet other dancers and to share your dancing strengths and weeknesses ...it's all part of the fun. Come alone or bring some friends! ...either way you're welcome. Through-out the evening, a progressive dance will be organised, its lots of fun, very popular and a great way to develop friendships with other dancers.
Work Shops are held on a regular basis with a variety of different dance styles such as Jive, Modern Jive, Slow Rhythm, or Cha Cha Cha.
Modern Jive and plenty of stylish music
At lessons, Modern Jive is taught during beginners and intermediate classes. Blue Mountain Rockers have been teaching Modern Jive for quite some time. Rock ‘n’ Roll, Cha Cha, Jive-triple step will be taught on a needs basis.
The purpose of the lesson prior to the Dance Party is to warm-up and introduce new comers to Modern Jive. So if you know some-one who wishes to learn just enough to have a bit of fun for the night, or to become more involved in dancing, this will be an ideal way to do so.
Blue Mountain Rockers is a social dance school which teaches popular basic to advanced dance routines. Blue Mountain Rockers will happily assist you through the lessons.
Blue Mountain Rockers gather Tuesday nights at Springwood Country Club/Golf Club (Hawkesbury Rd) from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The Country Club is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains, approximately 60 Kms West of Sydney, NSW, Australia well worth a short drive.
There are all ages that attend Blue Mountain Rockers (from the young to the young at heart).
Blue Mountain rockers has qualified and experienced instructors. It's principal has many years of teaching and dancing experience. Qualifications include: Teacher with FATD; Dip. Training & Assessing. Medals in Jive and Cha Cha Cha.
We look forward to sharing our knowledge and skills with you. 'We take pride in having formal teaching skills'.
